Reopening of the Scottish Property Market: First Minister’s Phase 2 announcement
Yesterday, the First Minister announced plans to allow the safe reopening of the Scottish property market from 29th June 2020.
We await full official guidance from the Government on exactly how this will happen but we are currently putting preparations in place to be ready for the reopening.

While we are delighted the property market will be reopening, the safety of our clients and team will remain at the forefront of our minds. During lockdown, we have adapted to offer our services remotely and have found virtual viewings and valuations to be exceptionally popular and we will be continuing to offer these services as the market reopens. We would ask buyers to have a virtual viewing in the first instance before arranging a physical viewing.
Buyer activity has been encouraging during lockdown, and we have seen an increase in buyer enquiries over the last few weeks, so we anticipate the pent up demand from buyers to create a positive result for our Sellers.

For any physical appointments and interactions the necessary safety precautions will be considered to keep everyone safe. We would ask the following guidelines be read and followed for all physical interactions with our team, clients and viewing agents.
We would ask you wear a mask or face covering while attending your viewing and that you use hand sanitiser. Please do not attempt to shake hands with our seller or viewing agent.
We will only be allowing 1 viewing to go ahead at a time with a suitable gap in between appointments to allow the seller or agent to disinfect surfaces and door handles. No open viewings will be available. Please keep the number of viewers with you to an absolute minimum and all viewers must be from 1 household, please do not bring young children if you can avoid it and if you must please make sure they do not touch anything.
When inside the property, please avoid touching anything, including light switches, doors, door handles and cupboards. We have asked our sellers and agents to ensure all doors are open but if you wish to look inside a cupboard that is not open, please ask them to open it for you.
Maintain at least a 2 metre distance from our seller or agent at all times. If you have lots of questions regarding the property, please discuss these with the seller or agent outside the property at a 2 metre distance. We will call you following your viewing to obtain your feedback so feel free to save your questions for us to reduce your time spent at the property.
We will ask you to confirm that you do not have any COVID19 symptoms and have not been in contact with anyone who does. If you feel at all unwell or display COVID19 symptoms you must notify us immediately to cancel your viewing.
